Various planned routes from 30 min walks around our land to all day trips up local 6000ft ridges and mountain tops. Parque Natural de Sierra Maria-Velez is 10 minutes away. Transport to starting and finishing places can be arranged with our 4 wheel drive. Packed lunches available.

Cycling.

 

Various planned routes, locally around the cortijo, day trips to local villages for tapas (either off road or on quiet well made roads) and mountain track rides. Parque Natural de Sierra Maria-Velez is 10 minutes away. Transport to starting and finishing places can be arranged with our 4 wheel drive. Packed lunches available.


Golf.

Local golf cources include Desert Springs, Valle del este, Cortijo Grande, Marina Golf Mojacar.

Skiing.

For the experienced canoeist there are various coastal sites and large quiet scenic reservoirs.Accompanied trips by arrangement.

For the experienced Paraglider or Hangglider pilot there are many local sites with mountains rising to 6000ft. Big strong thermals with Vultures/Eagles are common. Accompanied trips or retrieves by arrangement.

Cross Country Quads offer tours based in Velez Rubio of a few hours to a week; all equipment an tution provided.

Interesting birds guests have reported as seeing locally include Bee Eater, Hoopoe, Roller, Little Owl, Griffon Vulture, Bonelli Eagle, Peregrine, Kestrel, Red Kite.

Helping around the Cortijo.

There are many tasks including Almond,Olive,Grape and Fig picking, pruning, staking, wine making, Gardening, Painting. All could be rewarded with a free evening meal.
